Born in Fort Seal, Oklahoma, Mrs. Greenwood-Walker pursued her education with distinction, earning a Master's degree in Education from Virginia State University and a Bachelor of Arts from California State University. Associate degree from Los Angeles Valley College. Mrs. Zolunda Greenwood-Walker has served as the school principal, school director, and instructional coach in Oklahoma City and is currently working on her doctorate in education leadership.
Her dedication to academic growth and student success has been evident throughout her career, culminating in her recognition as Teacher of the Year in 2009—a testament to her impactful teaching methods and unwavering devotion to education. Mrs. Greenwood-Walker has served over twenty-five years in education and has had the opportunity to partner with others to open a literacy center for children in Oklahoma.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Greenwood-Walker is an active member of the PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) and the NEA (National Education Association), continually advocating for educational advancement and student welfare. Her passion for learning extends into her personal life, where she enjoys music, art, dancing, and exploring the rich cultural heritage of Oklahoma's renowned theaters.
A proud New Bethel Baptist Church member, Mrs. Greenwood-Walker's commitment to her community and faith plays a significant role in her life. She also enjoys traveling and embraces new experiences that enrich her personal and professional journey.
